Not sure where to post this so I will just put it here and let you guys move it. Has anybody ever worked with tweed? How hard is it to work with? How much does it cost? What do you use to put it on? I am planning on covering my interior with it and I plan on making a custom middle console and door panels. Thanks for any help.

tweed is relativly easy to stretch but be carefull applying glue it will bleed through
the fabaric and ruin the finished product.
so apply the glue very evenly!

One great product.... Elmers Bleed Resistant Quick Dry Glue! Comes in an aresol can white with a orange cap. I used this on my interior with tweed. Its great and tacks in about 15" seconds, and is very hard to get to bleed. http://www.termpro.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

hey way2loud and everyone that posted a reply in this topic. I have the best glue for anything. Yes i do mean anything. This products smallest container is a 5 gallon container. The product is this ( 3m top & trim adhisive part # 051135-08046). This stuff can be applied many ways. the best way to apply is with a air spray gun. This stuff is GREAT. Many car audio shops use this glue. notice the name top and trim adhisive. meaning this stuff is used to glue the vinyl to the top of cars. Once this is applied to both surfaces and dry it will NEVER come loose. dk

Yep, I use landau & Trim adhesive here as well. For ALL my vinyl/carpet/etc. work. Once you spray both parts, and let them tack up, press them together, and they are NOT coming apart easily. Takes some practice to get things right the first time so you don't ruin the vinyl by trying to pull it back up though. heh
