Yes you have to be invited. This year you only had to be a member in good standings to recieve an invite.

Good standings would be being a member for this season. And yes unfortunatly it is too late to become a member and compete at Finals.

well lets just say i got first at the steel valley regional and they told me that i qualified for finals. after one event!!
