How do i add a 2nd alternator to my truck?

I got myself a 1995 toyota tacoma and i bought a hi amp alternator i want to run just for the stereo and I want to buy a second to run for my truck itself But i have no clue on how to wire it up or anything so any help you guys could give me would be great.

Adding a second alternator is definitely not for the faint of heart. If you are not familiar and comfortable with modifying your vehicle, I would suggest you go to your nearest stereo and/or alternator rebuild shop, and see if they can help you. Custom fabrication can be tricky, and if not done right, a poorly installed alternator could give you lots of problems smile.gif
