Alt. Question Want to Compete

I am wondering how many amps my stock 99 Saturn SC alt puts out. I have no idea how to find out and its not in the owners manual. Can it handle 2kw with a stock batt? I was thinking of upgrading to a 160 amp alt but I want to compete in street 1-2. Will I still be able to? Please help as you can obviously tell Im new to this. I appreciate your replies.

if you want to run street class you must run the stock alt. but you can upgrade the battery as long as it fits in the stock location. as for how many amps the alt puts out I dont know but if you call pepboys parts department and ask they will tell you.
