I have been debating on what type of batteries to use.
1. 28-8 volt golf cart batteries (500 cca).
2. 10-16 volt turbo start (550 cca I called the manufacture).
3. 1-16 volt batcap(8400 ca)

All of the above batteries are for $1500-1700
which is my price range. The draw backs are.
1. 28-8 volt 1700 lbs in weight, but I have a astro van and it's strictly for spl shows.
2.10-16 volts price per each one is to high for the cca.
3. 1-16 volt batcap no warranty and plus the fact I have 6 us amps 4000X @ 2ohms, can one batcap handle that type of load eventhough its 8400 ca?

Tell me what you think which is the best set up. :D

I have not used the TurboStarts so I cannot speak on them, but I have heard good things about them. If you cannot spend any more on batteries, I would say go with the 8v batts. If you can afford it, get 2 of the Batcaps. I believe Furnell Mitchell is running 3 2000x's off each of his model 8400's. Six 4000x's is a bit much though, IMO.

I have turbostarts in my car, and they work great for me. If you have the money, I would probably suggest you go that route. They are compact and easier to use than 8v in series (less connections).

ditto. And less money ties up into extra wiring & connectors.

if you get the 8400, please post your results.

btw: I ran 6 zapco 9.0's of 5 turbostarts, without any problems. The 9.0's draw more than a 4000x.
