Bass Blockers?

How good do these things work? I need to make a bandpass signal using either these or an active crossover so I was wondering if there would be any type of signal loss or anything. I would be using them in conjunction with an amplifier crossover to create the bandpass filter. Any thoughts or experiences?

Take a look at the responses from the post that I put up on x-overs http://www.termpro.com/ubb/Forum21/HTML/000167.html . The guys answered this and many other questions very thuroughly (spelling?).

But, in short, in my exp. BassBlockers have worked very well for me in car and home audio applications. From exp., I recommend them - plus they are extremely affordable!!!

Oh I actually did not mean the passive bass blockers. I meant the Fmod's that crutchfield sells too. Sorry! Any experience with these as far as signal loss or anything?

Not a problem http://www.termpro.com/ubb/smile.gif. I've used Fmods on amps that don't have active x-overs and they worked just fine. The only problem is that they make the amp longer (I had an s-10 reg. cab, so space was a factor). These were the hi-pass models, they make low-pass models too. You can put them together to make a band-pass as well. They are a nice 12 dB in-line x-over that I've had good exp. with.
