What would be the best amp to push 2 IDQ 12's? 4ohm DVCs. If anyone have a good amp to push these for sale let me know also.
I'm thinking either 4ohm or 1ohm load. Suggestions please?? Thanks!

Edddddddddddddd, just so happens, I have the same subs, but I am switching classes, so I am selling my amp. I am running it on my IDQ 12's now and can we say dayuuuum. It's an Mtx Road Thunder 2400x. It is the same as the Mtx Blue Thunder 300 x 2, and the same as the new thunder 2600's. Email me with an offer, this amp is only about 8 months old, still has about 1 1'4 years warranty left through circuit city.

Could look into:
Crossfire CFA1000
Memphis 1000D
I have the 4 channel Crossfire
(50x4RMS) amp - would be willing
to sell. Could bridge each side to a
sub, would give you 200x2 RMS (@2 ohm)

Noooooo Thor, he he. He wants to buy my amp lol j/k. My amp will put out 600wattsx1 @4ohm at 12 volts, and 750watts by 1 @4ohm at 14.4 volts. I was speaking with an Mtx rep, and they said it is one ohm burpable. The amp is in perfect shape. Let me know.

Been looking at the crossfire 1000d and Memphis st1000d. Think 500RMS per sub is a bit too much for the IDQ's?
------------------
No http://www.termpro.com/ubb/smile.gif
You won't damage a speaker if you feed it clean power.... DISTORION kills speakers, not overpowering them. Honestly, you're more likely to be happy with how 500w/sub sounds at volume 15 than how 200 sounds at 30 (clipping) - and destroying speakers...
It comes down to the fact that you'll be less likely to clip the signal

I have an RF Power 500a2 and I love it, I cant wait to get two 12" ID's to blow my trunk lid off http://www.termpro.com/ubb/smile.gif
My Power 500a2 can do 600 watts mono at 4ohms with a good charging system!

Last weekend I built a box for 2-IDQ 8's. Tuned the box to 27 Hz and put a Zapco AG350 on it and drove it at 4 ohms mono. Killer, Killer combination. By far the best audiophile sub set up I've ever heard. Deffinetly go with Zapco. In fact the 350 is rated at 350 watts at 4 ohms mono but realistically it puts out well over 500 watts and for around $400 you can't possibly beat the sound of that zapco.

Take my advice, don't ruin the sound of those subs by putting a piece o sh$t amp on it like mmatts or crossfire. Yeah they put out a hell of alot of power, but they'll make those subs sound like crap. A close friend of mine helped design the new IDQ max's, the ones coming out next month. He has had three of those IDQ max's in his car for over 6 months now. Take my advice go with Zapco.
F.Y.I. Zapco has a new 2000 watt class D, with a dampening factor well over 3000.
talk about control.

Well, I'd shy anyone / everyone away from MMATS, but that has nothing to do with the SQ of the amps... it's the company itself.
Maybe try that Crossfire 602? (600 w bridged @ 4ohm I believe) Good AB amp

I've personally ran 2 of their 12's for 2 yrs now and have had lots of amps on them. Not including the systems I have done with them. I have personally used an Audio Art 50HC, Audio Art 100HC, Zapco Z600, PPI PC2150, and a DEI 600d. Any one of those amps could max out the IDQ's. They really don't need tons of power to work. Of course, the 100HC gave them 1125w and with the gain all the way down, I could turn the head unit almost all the way up without problems. I did have 1 12" that the spider and cone ripped apart which Eric said he had never seen before.....
