I just mounted mine on my floor halfway under my seat...I wouldnt reccomend mounting it on the back of a seat...unless you have metal you can screw it into.
A shop, some 10 years ago, mounted an amp to one of my colleague's back seats. It worked fine when he had the seat up. But, when he put the seat down, to get into the hatch/trunk (Daytona type car), the amp turned off.
We couldn't figure this out at first (working 3rd shift is almost the same as a night of drinking), then after some sleep we noticed that the D-ring that the seat snapped onto to hold it in the up position was the ground-path. Once the seat was down, the path was broken. So, we extended his ground cable and connected him to the floor of the hatch/trunk.
Not saying that this will happen, but it's a possibility that did happen. I felt bad because I recommended the shop to him.
