about 145 amps(I think) 1300wrms or so, 4 ohms only, if you need lower imp. get the D-200 or D-100

The MMATS D-300hc puts out full power at 2ohms not 4ohms. And when tested the amp did more like 1700watts rms. Spyder must have been thinkin of the plain 300 not the hc. ;)

One more thing. If you are thinking of getting one, you better pray it doesn't go into protect. You won't be able to get it out of protect yourself. I know this because I have the 300hc and it's in protect right now. I also heard if you send it in for repairs you may never see it again.

run it at 2 ohm mono. if you run it below 1.5 ohm (roughly) mono, it will go into a protect. essentially, if the amp tries to pull too much current, it shuts down. I have never had it happen though, even when trying to do 1 ohm and .5 ohm burps........the amp wouldn't play! As soon as I set it back up for 2 ohm mono, it was fine.

is there any other amps that are good for 1400 plus watts at 2 ohms for under $400-$500 on a stock alt?

I currently have 6 D300HC 2 for backup and they are great amps. I manage to smoke one, it took 1 week for the repair and David @ MMATS is a great guy to deal with.

I suggest calling him for more info.

Thanks, I didn't mean to bash MMATS or anything. So I hope it wasn't taken that way. I have the chrome/nickel plated MMATS amp. I had another one, but I got ripped off by PHATGT. They are very nice amps indeed. I want to still continue to use them as well. The only reason I am apprehensive about trying to send the amp in is because I don't have the warranty or receipt since I bought it used.
