Lookin for opinions on the "perfect" amp to run a set of MBQ (or equivilant) componets and a pair of JL 10w1's in a Ram truck. I figured somewhere in the range 75-100 to the fronts and 300 to the subs. I dont want to put alot of cash into crossovers, I'd like an amp that will do the work for me. Somewhere in the 200-400 dollar range.
Thanks for your time, Kurt
Everything Im finding will either do subs or mids properly, not both. the Xovers need to be HQ. This is a one time set up. I dont want to upgrade or change/add stuff 6mo-1yr from now when Im not happy with the sound q.

Not sure on the price, but I would suggest an Xtant A4004. its rated at 50X4, and should bridge to 50X2 and 200X1. It should run all of those really nicely, with excellent SQ. The Memphis ST3004 is also a nice amp and would work for that, 75X4 -- so 75X2 and 300X1. I know the Memphis is in the $400 range. Also, the new PCX-480 from PPI is a quality amp, I would highly recommend it, 80X4 or 80X2 and 320X1, and should be around those prices too.

For a lot more coin, an Xtant X603 would be perfect for that setup, and have incredible SQ.

the only amp i would consider as holy is an old school Punch Power 1000. I think it's rated at 150x4 at 4 ohms, 250x4 at 2 ohm. hard to find these.

anyways, doesn't RF make something like a Punch 800.4? Or an MTX 4 channel amp could fit your bill. Also look into DEI and Crossfire.

good luck with your system,

Those are theexact specs of the Xtant X603. It is a little more than you want to spend but it will do all that you are asking and more. You also may be able to finde an old 603X or 3300x or 3300c that would work also. At that price the MTX 6304 will work well also.
