I just recieved my 2500D from Ben Sams today!!who is awsome btw.pics coming soon as well. I have a question. on the box in the upper right hand corner and a sticker on the from of the amp it says 5000w MAX. that is crazy, what kind of voltage would it take to get that power??

and another thing how do i power this beast. 0aug wire fused to a distro block with 2 4aug wires from there? I can do the ground.

for burps you will see full power at .35 ohms and maybe for daily at .5 smile.gif and just wire it like you said smile.gif and about voltage stock they go into protect above 16 volts.

if you get a step-down plug you can fit 1/0awg in each hole. also if you twist the wire very tight you can fit 2awg in there.

You'll likely have a really short run to the amp from the fuse seeing as it isnt fused...so I would think 2 X 4AWG would be plenty...

Hope so...thats what I'll be using 2/0 to the block and 4 out

sensai-

Yea with the car running but did you take the pic when the car was just running on idle?
Running on idle and with it off is basically the same thing which would result in a low voltage reading.

Now, if you had it revved pretty high and still like that, might think about bigger alt(s).
11v is not safe with class d amps.

actually it was witht the car on idle, with it reved up the voltage drops down to about 11.9 and thats with the extra batteries, as for a alt i cant get a upgraded one yet because there are no brackets made for the ls yet, supposed to be comming out with some in the next couple of weeks, as soon as they are avabile ill prob be getting a 250amp alt to help charge the extra 4 batteries that im going to add. because im adding 4 more 2500d's    smile.gif  i wont say what subs yet

yea man it was a pain the lincoln is not one of the best cars to do a install in , it took me about a week with a team of 3 guys working 15 hours a day to get everyting installed, and the sad thing was that i had to take everything out cuz my baby is sick :( , but just wait my NEW install is going to be even sicker more 2500d's more power more bass, more records to break

Tested in PAS mag to do 2700rms at 12.8v at 1ohm.

So you would be seeing @ 3000 watts @ 14.4 volts??

I tested the 2500d to do 2485watts, AC current and voltage messured, in a street A install at 0.5ohm. This is with a Stinger sp1700 and impedance rise to 1.5 I think. ;)
