towards the back or towards the front

i know i know....you guys have heard this a million times...i have two twelves and want to be in 2 1-2..everyone told me towards the front but it does not seem as loud...any ideas or suggestions...

BigKev, your best chance for people to respond would be to post this exact topic in the "General" forum because there is more traffic there. In my experiences, I have better results facing my subs toward the rear of the trunk and about an inch or two from the lid. I have also sealed subs off from the trunk and fired them forward, but I felt I lost a lot of lows in that case. But, that didn't mean that I didn't gain any spl. Post your ? in the general forum and see what advice you get. If all else fails, just try different ways and distances at comps unless you have a local shop with a meter.
