damn, thats weird, I have a 65 mustang and I was just thinkin about doin that. It sure as hell beats the stock locations, lol. But to answer your question youre probably gonna have to do some work with fiberglass, I cant really think of any other way.

Thats what I had in mind. But I want them to look factory, and wanted to see if anyboby had pics or something. I saw the car last night and there is plenty of room down there.

I guess I'll start on it tonight. I'm going to paint them red (that the color of the car)instead of covering them with vinyl. How does that sound for factory look? those plastic kicks are sooo fragile.

It should look pretty good, try to get some pics if you can and let us see how they turned out. Good Luck.

You might want to try National Parts Depot. They specialize in many late model cars including the mustang. They carry kickpanels (available without driver) and i THINK they come in 5.25" and 6.5" cutouts. They look very stock and only have to take out like 3 screws to change them so your car will remain completely stock. 'stangs are great got a 65' Hardtop, my car (66' Chevy Bel-air) and a 69' Chevelle (Cleanest amatuer resto i've ever done) : ) Have fun

Thanks Pegasus1 that's exactly what I needed, but I already started to build the fiberglass kicks I just can't abandon them now. Thanks anyhow, I will try to post pics later on.

Hey 66ChevyBoat I think the fiberglass would look a lot better, plus you get better imaging. Thanks

For everyone who wants kickpanels for 64-68 mustangs with speakers in them and for them to look stock, check out www.mustangsplus.com (http://www.mustangsplus.com) They sell stock kick panels built for 6.5 (I think, or is it 5.25). Check it out.
