ever since i installed my power 800's there seems to be a rather loud annoying engine noise comming from my speakers. my engine is coloring the music in my car and i hate it. even when i mute my stereo i still hear it. when my car accelerates so does the noise from my subs. the question is, how do i get rid of it?

I had this same problem awhile back.

In my case, I had a rca cable that the jacket had been torn up. I think it got scraped when I was running it through the trim panels of the S-10. Basically, it exposed the sheilded side of the RCA, and now that I think about it, the center wire was bare also.

Another instance I had, was the RCA jacks on one of my amps had a bad solder connection to the board. This caused a intermittent sound like a "shhhhhhhhh" sound....with an occasional pop. I fixed that one myself.

Good luck and let us know what happens

This happened to me once.
so what i did all at once was
#1 upgraded the ground and power wire
#2 got a better rca cable
#3 got a pioneer eq

I dont know which one stoped the problem but one if not all of them did.
