hey guys,

i'm having problems with cold mornings. the right channel of my front speakers are giving a lot hissing and static type noise. it's not happening on the left, and it'll go away if i leave a load on it for 15 minutes or so (like putting a cd in and putting it on pause). anyone got any ideas? i thought it might just be the cold, but it only happens on one channel (kenwood head -> rockford 60ix -> rockford fanatic p components & rockford 40.2 -> rockford xlc 10"). thanks in advance.

~erik

Time to check connections, and location of the amplifier. Considering 'ol man Winter has entered our lives again, chances are that "condensation" problems may arise, check for that too. Look for bad RCA connections or wires by lightly tapping or wiggling it. Check that the speaker leads are not touching metal, look for corroded power connections. You know... Troubleshoot. :)
