3 JL 12-W3's would sound nice and hit hard wit that amp. I had 3 myself off a 500D until the subs got stole last tues. OR maybe 2 JL 15-W3's would be good also.

Come to think of it, you could get 3 15-W3's for less than 2 strokers, and maybe have some change left over. Possibly get a 2nd amp and run one set of coils to each amp - that would be loud.

I have an 89' 240 also. They are great cars. Pretty fast, handle like a dream, and get loud real easy. I have to rebuild my motor and then work on the box some more. Don't bother with a wall. Just fire a pair of 15's off the back glass with about 1200-1500 watts and you'll do low to mid 50's.

i think personaly you should use the hatch because I put a wall in my 300zx and it was not as loud as the single boxes in the hatch. everything was to spec so i would go with a good system but take my advice and use the hatch!!!!!

My girl has a 1992 240sx hatchback. And in her car I've installed a pair of Orion 8's in a small (.66 total for the pair) sealed box, tucked into a cubby hole one one side of the hatch, built a false floor and flushed the sub amp which is a Sony XM-1002HX (100x2 @ 4 ohms) into the false floor. I made a custom amp rack that attaches to the back of the rear seat and mounted another Sony XM-1002HX there for mids and highs. I put a pair of Orion XTR6s seperates in each door with the crossover for the seperates located where the rear factory speakers used to be. In the stock double din dash location I mounted a Panasonic cd player, half din Sony eq, and a half din Sony tape deck. She wanted tape, cd, and eq. but didn't want to pay for a double din unit and has a total about half the cost of a double din tied up in all three pieces in the dash. With the single pair of 8's in the hatch with the rear package cover in place I have been able to get a 138.7 out of the car using actual music. That doesn't really sound like alot but when you figure that it is a pair of 8's in a really small sealed box with a total of 280 watts powering them I feel that it is pretty decent. And she is contastantly recieving comments about her system from people about how loud it sounds for just a pair of 8's.
