Unfortunately, there aren't any open slots for the SS 3-4 NW. In addition, we feel that 4 woofers (15" or larger) would probably require a wall for installation. 12" woofers can still compete in Street 3-4.

Thanks for your comments and good luck this season.

Hello, this is my first time using this froum. From what I understand there will be no SSNW. I was looking forward to being in that class because I competed last year in 3-4 SS and I have a cut through with 4-12" subs. I know I would not have a chance against a wall because there is an advantage to them. I use my truck for daily driving and would love a chance at making it to the FINALS in 2001. So is the 3-4 SSNW a definite no go? Please email me at ported4me@yahoo.com , I may not be able to find this thread again. How can I get in touch with Wayne himself? Thanks

I agree there should have been a ssnw 3-4. I like how you originally wrote up the class proposition. It made alot more sense! As for needing a wall for 4 subs, what about the people who do not want to ruin their car and wants to run 3-4, or maybe are coming off of street 3-4 last year and want to go to the finals again. They wont be able to, they dont have a chance if they are thrown into superstreet 3-4. Do you see what i mean, I think there should be the nw1-2& nw3-4 so serious street competitors, new or from last season, would have a class to go into that they would have a chance in, and at the same time, getting the pro's out of street by giving them a class at finals to shoot for.

My friend has a nissan truck with 4-15's. It is also a cut through. And people with hatchbacks would appreciate this class. I know I would kick some tail if there were a 3-4 SSNW. Help us out.

Obviously, there are going to be people out there who want this class - but everyone, please realize that these classes are set for NATIONAL competition - across the board - and not for individuals. The reason he doesn't want to go with this class is because there is more need for another class to be broken down/added elsewhere - I believe a SS 5-6 and SS 7-8 split is one of them. Just realize that he has to please the majority (or try to), so he can't accomodate all...

How can he do away with a class that never WAS a class??

Here is my take on this. Almost all the cars in this class would just be street class cars from last year, without the battery and amp restrictions. The Street 3-4 class last year was THIN at the very least, and taking it and splitting it into 2 classes would be counter intuitive. You dont take the smallest class in db drag, and split it in two.

I think there should be only one 3-4 class without walls, and maybe it should be SSNW 3-4. Who in there right mind wants to put 2 big arse amps in their car, and only run one battery total??

Do SSNW3-4, but then you would need to drop street 3-4.

Well if you have seen the prop back in Oct. Wayne had stated that he was going to have this class, and that is how you do away with some thing. You say something then you take it back.Every show that i went to 3-4 street had the most competitors. You can't say i did'nt try to get this class going but i see its getting me no where.I'll just have to move up a class.See every one in 3-4 SS good luck in 2001...
