My Amp get's real hot during play, anyone have any advice what to do. My stero is a Pioneer deh-6400, my speaker is 12" NYX mobile audio (that's all I know about the speaker), and dual voice coil.

Check the wiring to the sub. Depending on what that amp can handle (2ohm bridge) , how many subs, what the coils are rated at and how many coils the speakers have, you may be running the amp at an ohm load that is too low.
Give some more info on the subs that you are using and you should get more help.
(actually, try and give as much info on the install. It makes things a lil easier.)

If the sub is a Dual 4ohm sub wired to 2ohm, then the ohm load is fine for the amp, could be the amps gains are turned up too high overdriving the amp just a touch.
My questions to you are these: How long does it take for the amp to get hot? Can you touch the amps heatsink? For how long? You should beable to put your hand on the amp for 5 seconds without having to move your hand, if you cant do that then you have an issue.

I have one too and at first I was concerned about the temperature but I think these amps are supposed to run a little hot. Mines been working years.
