Prbably means which ever amp is hooked up on the power line, that the fuse that blows is connected to, is drawing a lot of current when you turn up the volume....
Check to see what the maximum current draw is for that particular amp....and fusing according to that...if it is listed at 60 amps then I'm not sure what to tell ya...sorry...
Good luck

What size power wire do you have from the battery?
Are those two amps sharing a 60 amp fuse? or does each have it's own separately?
We'll figure out the rest from there.

If I remember right those amps can draw over 120 Amps each at full tilt. Your fuses should blow at 200% current for 5 seconds. So if those amps are going full volume the fuses should blow.

yep... bout 5 sec was when it blew at vol. 32-35.. so i should switch to what kinda fuses?

I would use 100 amp fuses per amp. Those will most likely have to be ANL style, or if you just want to up to 80A, you could go the cheaper route and use MAXI's.

If you can find 80 amp SE fuses, then yes. BTW: If you do find some, please drop me a line and let me know where you got them.
Stinger has tons of items that would solve your problem, the one I suggest is the SFPD2ANL, one input, dual outputs, ANL fused distibution block.

I think Hifonics used to have some available back in the day with their Colussus amps, but I've never seen em.
btw: Dukk, do you know if there is a difference between AGU & SE style of fuses? Or are they the same thing? I see them advertised as both, but they seem to be identical. Maybe I'll have to look that one up in the little black book.

I've never heard a large glass fuse referred to as anything but an AGU. I would suspect no differences, just a labelling difference.
I hate when a manufacturer uses a rare fuse size. The Punch 100ix used to come with a 40 amp spade (so did the bigger Coustic amps) which are hard to find too.

I've seen too many of those fuses melt at the solder point behind the metal connections. So while the fuse looks good through the glass, it's actually bad where it's hard to see.

There are tons of companies that make agu fuses . I personally would not use these fuses . when you get to 80 amp and up draw the best fuses are the ANL style . Sometimes there is not enough room for this style of fuse holder . For this the make whats called a mini anl .Memphis make these fuses holders that will hold the mini anl ,You can get sizes up to 100 amp .If you need a bigger fuse like a 150 and up i would do the Bigger Anl style . The MAX fuses are ok also ,but i perfer the ANL .

the MINI-ANL's are called SMD fuses. Maxi's go to 100a. AGU's go to 80amp. ATC's go to 60amps, but once you get to the 40amp'ers, they get harder to find. I've never even seen replacement 50's or 60's, but I have seen them in power inverters. Truckstops might have them. ANL's go from 100 to 600ish.

This is a gay gay moment..Just for sh@ts and giggles, We joke around the shop and we all prefer ANAL (ANL) fuse protection, no solder joints as they are riveted, as well as the price has dropped. 15 bucks for 5 250amp fuses, 20bucks for an anal holder, just trying to laugh, anl anal, stupid stuff is just funny.
