I have reccently purchased a 93' toyota mini truck. It has no room for subs in the cab, so im thinking of putting the subs in the bed because i have a fiberglass flat cap on the back. But im wondering...am i going to be able to hear quality bass through my cap and through the walls of the cab??? People have told me to cut a hole through the bed into the cab but thats not an option because they are not connected, there is an inch or two gap between the two.
So will i be able to hear the bass well enough to install subs in the bed?>?

If you will put subs in the bed, but without any connection to the cabin sound will be very poor!
My suggestions would be:
- Build bandpass box and vent it directly to cabin - Buy some small, but effective subs. I have good experience with passive (not active!) SAS Bazooka. This will add some bass to original speakers. - Try to put 2x8" into each door.

Well with that gap there just get a rubber boot or wheld (spelling) a piece of steel to it and close the hole off to the outside but still have the opening to the truck. It will make a WORLD of difference,.
