will there be any difference in spl or sound quality in these two choices for 2 12"'s:
1. simple wedge box (ordinary)
2. jazzed up installation with two subs separated with a place to put amp
all I'm asking is when I am getting my stuff installed it is worth getting a jazzed up install for the extra money if I'm not really going to compete seriously?
should my two subs be side by side or separated?
I know that the postiton is crucial to reach optimal base but is it really worth the extra money and will it effect me spl and sq?

Well, the choice is really up to you. If you want to look at a basic box or a real flashy amp rack...it really make no difference as long as it is done well. Judges don't care what your theme is as long as it is consistent and goes along with the rest of the car. For example: If you had a Kawasaki Green Nissan lowrider pickup, then you would probably want the same color amp rack. On a black Mercedes, you'd probably expect a nice black viynl amp rack...get the drift?...
