I see it in some peoples boxes. I don't use it in mine and it sounds fine. What will poly-fill change? Where do I get it? The place that installed my amp said I don't need that **** cause it don't do nothin. Well I figure it must do somethin if people use it. Am I right? What does the **** do?

i dont remeber which, but it converts the procees of creating sound from a thermal to a mechanical process or the other way around, there by tricking the boz into thinking there is more volume than there really is, which means your enclosures dont have to be as big

it also prevents standing waves (unless your box is totally huge, standing waves only occur in the midrange, so that point is moot when we are talking about subwoofers)
I've never bothered to use it in a sub box, because although it does make a difference, no-one can actually hear it (less than 1dB difference at any frequency)

turns soundwaves to heat, make the enc. seem bigger then it is up to 40%
