hi i have an amp running my 4 speakers and i can't seem to get any power to it. 2 mids in the front are not hooked up but the tweeters in the front are if that makes a difference. also the ground and the power work. the remote wire from my head unit is also in good condition. i redid the connection behind the head unit and at the amp for all of these things. i also checked the amp fuses and the fuse on the 8 gauge wire running to the amp. but there is still no power going to the amp (the power light does not turn on.

any idea on what could be wrong?

please help,
chris

Have you taken a multi-meter and tested for power at the amp?

i just got it figured out. yea i did take it and see if there was power at the amp, and there was. so the ground and the power wire worked. only one other thing it could have been other than a broken amp, the remote wire, so i took out my hu and ran a new wire just to see....thank god thats what it was

thanks for the reply!
chris

Glad you got it going! You can also meter the remote lead at the amp for power with the system on, that can save time over replacing the remote lead if something else is wrong.
