The ribbon cable on my audiovox drop down lcd screen is cut, is there any way to replace it, I brought it to a shop and they said that they could not find the part anywhere so I'm stuck with it so I am wondering if radioshack would have a small enough ribbon for it?

Is it the type of ribbon cable that you can feel the individual conductors, or the very thin, flat, orangish colored flex film? If it is the flex film it is probably a custom part for that screen.

If it's for the flipdown, it's a very thin ribbon, which will be either 10 conductor or 22 conductor. They used both. Again, email me, I can help.
