Okay, I posted this on one board but I just wanted to get more ideas on it. Yesterday it was pouring down rain and my friend was with me and he stopped and left the door open on my MB Quarts in the doors so I lean over to shut it and then my headunit stops working. It did this turn off then 2 seconds later come on and it wouldn't stop doing that.
So the next day (today) I went to go check on what the problem was, well it looked like the headunit wasn't turning the amps on after I finally got the headunit to stay on for a while. Now many people have told me this is a ground problem but I hooked it to the car ground wire and it still turns off then on constantly. One time for some strange reason the sub amp came on but I never was able to get the amp for the highs to come back on. I already checked the power for the amps with a DMM so I know thats not the problem, I also checked the remote wire for the amps off of the headunit and that looks fine also. I just want to know why my headunit is sporaticly turning itself off then on and why it won't turn the amps on anymore.

Check the speakers hooked up to the head unit.. Many times speakers can cause HU to shut off or do what you are describing(not stay on) if a speaker has a problem and the head is trying to go into protect. You can do this all from the wire harness behind the radio after unplugging it, just check speaker impedance of each(should be 3.5-4 ohms) and check all speaker wires at the plug making sure none reads continuity with ground.. Thats my first suggestion based on what I understadn about your problem.

Yeah, I fixed the problem a few days ago. Thanks.

The problem arose again and the last time all I did was reset the unit? Now it simply will turn on right when your put the key in for like 5 mins or so, then it will do its constant turning off then on routine. Could this simply be a defective unit?
