my partner and i ran into some technical difficulties!!! we started out with a sealed box, 4 clarion 12", seperate chambers. Switched over to 4 Oz 12"s, ported...using the same box, just added some ports. With all four hooked up it sounds like total ****. When two of the speakers are hooked up (NOT side by side) it sounds great! With two speakers hooked up side by side it just sounds crappy. My first guess was 'cus the port location. But heck, what do i know *shrug* Please someone help us. Much appreciated!!! = )
also, different problem, but would anyone know why a speaker would thump when you hit the brakes? That just always boggled me.
Thank you very much impalaman1 & deaftones

there's your problem. build a box for your subs. don't play guessing games with popping in any old port into a sealed box. it's not that simple....
