Everytime i turn my headunit (Clarion DRX9575R) on or off a very loud popping is coming out of my sub enclosure (2 Focal 33WX, ported) . Even if i disconnect my RCA´s from the amp and turn the amp with a external 12V source on, the pop is still there !
Any ideas what i can do ??

Check for a ground loop on the RCA's. I had to send mine back to be fixed, RCA ground was broken off... Does it also pop when you turn the volume from 0 to 1 and back ?? if it does, then it should be the same..

You are going to want to check a few things with the install. If you hvae the gain control set too high you will receive the turn on pop. The second thing is to check your ground and make sure it has a great connection and also make sure the ground is as short as possible. If all this does not work you should contact Rockford Technical Support.

I had a turn on pop once, I also owned two kicker comp's once. One day the turn on pop tore teh tinsel lead to one sub, so I bridged the amp and the other sub didnt last long either. My subs wern't $300 a peice either. Get it taken care of before that turn on pop, pops your vc against the back plate hard enough to bend the VC then your fakked. all I had to do was run the turn on to the accesories fuse and not use the HU turn on lead.

if i had to guess make sure your grounding to bare metal and it's no longer than 18 inches . also make sure your gains are'nt turned all the way up .

Try grounding your RCA Shield to the radio for ground..

he said hes not using RCA's and it stil does the same pop, so its not the RCA's. What it is, is the ground. Either its not a reliable ground, or its dirty, where its grounded to the chasis, you wanna make sure there is NO paint or grime or ANYTHING but bare metal, mabye even scratch it a bit to make it corse.
