Problem: I was tweeking my system with the car off and my subs started to produce bass out of nowhere. I turned down the volume and it was still thumping. Then my amp went into protection mode, I waited a while and started again. This time I turned the car on and there was no problem, and it sounded great. I was wondering if I could have wired something wrong, or if there is not enough voltage just from the battery to keep the amp happy.

somthing like that happend to me when i was using an external crossover, i think i fixed it by messing with my rca's..... theres probly a cancelation somwhere, try checking all your wires and make sure nothing is touching.... see if that helps
