I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with my JBL bp1200.1 and no one seems to know or responds. Here is the problem: Whenever my amp turns on both the green and the red light come on as well as the JBL light (which is supposed to). It only started doing this recently, and I have checked all the wiring and unless I'm retarded everything is fine. Only thing I haven't checked is remote wire because I don't know what could be wrong there. The weird thing about this problem is, THE AMP STILL WORKS FINE, but in the manual it seems that if even one of these lights is on there will be no audio. Although it's working fine, I'm afraid to use it in case something is wrong that I just can't figure out. I've emailed JBL probably 4 times over the last 2 weeks and no response. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is or know of a way to contact JBL through a phone number? I greatly appreciate any input from anyone, your guess is as good as/better than mine. Thank you

This problem is happening alot lately. I have seen several posts related to problems with this amp. I had this same problem with mine, but everything works fine now. The red LED would come on and I would have no audio but after reinstalling everything, it works perfect. I think you just have to try higher impedances with the amp and try to reinstall it over again. I have no explanation as to why they do that, I am just giving you my story.

Well I've tried disconnecting all the wires and connecting them again, but I haven't tried starting with different ohm loads, but I have tried the amp with no subs hooked up at all. And yes, I'm sure it's not just the sun reflecting off of the lights, unless the sun gets into my garage I'll keep trying and I'll keep you posted

I don't know if this makes much difference but it only happens if the car is on or has been on for awhile. Someone from another forum suggested cleaning out my + battery connection. Every now and then when I'm accelerating my battery light in my car will come on but nothing bad happens. I think today I'll try to clean up that connection a little. I'm not sure exactly what to use, any suggestions?
