My brother was messing with my sub and he decided to put a small hole in the polyurathaine surrond. Is there any way to fix it without buying a new sub? I've heard nail polish works but I am afraid to use it. Any ideas?

Black silicone works but it isn't good looking. I would just suggest killing your brother and stealing his money! :-)

Or you could just have you brother sell one os his kidneys, and then take the money and buy a new sub.

Look for a post on here from about 1-2 months ago titled "help, ripped sub" or something like that.

Found it, it's called "HELP SLIPPED!!!" and it's in Subs and Enclosures about 3 pages down! Oh, and break something near and dear to your brother. You may consider his kneecaps. :-) A ballpeen hammer works well if you don't want to pierce the skin (use the round end).

There are service centers that are capable of re-surrounding your speaker, the average price is about $75 (in Canada).

Yeah, the ballpeen hammer to the kneecaps is a good idea, but hit his toes instead, it will make him think about where his wallet is much, much quicker.

I bought some vinyl repair stuff to fix my JLs, works great.

$75????? Damn I can go buy a brand spanking new JL 10W1 for like $99 or so.
