Okay, I just bought a 1 farad cap and I wanted to hook it up to two amps. Here's a pic of how I have it setup if you don't understand.

http://MyWebPages.comcast.net/criswell2/diagram.jpg

Anyways, I hook up my 4 guage wire from the battery to my capacitor + and its already grounded and it charges, but only to 11.5 thats as far as it would go. Then, I hook it up to the distribution block like shown in the picture but it doesn't power either amps, just the capacitor. So I tried just to see if maybe it was a problem with the amp, I hooked the 4 guage power and ground to the amp but it didn't come on and the protection light didn't come on. I thought maybe it was the remote wire, but it was inplace right. I checked all the fuses, it could it possibly be that I blew the amp, because I tried another amp too and it didn't work either. Any clue?

Okay, it has something do to with the 4 guage wire, cus I hooked up the 8 guage back up and it worked fine, maybe the fuse is bad or I didn't crimp something right.

Where is the fuse at? Use a light meter to see if you have power to the dist blk.You should charge-up your caps prior to installing them.

I hook them right to the battery with the resistor and then start the car, they climb to 13-14+ volts quick if you have someone pressing the gas.

Your diagram looks right, we have the same set-up but our dist block is fused right before the amp.
check you fuse. [Big Grin]

Lol, took a while for you to reply, I already fixed most of the problems, my battery meter is being screwy though. It was the fuse, changed it out and got a new terminal for the battery and it works good as new.
