I have a 93 del sol, I wanted to throw in my cd player. I got the harness's soldered them, electrical taped, and hooked up to my surprize "nada noise".

My cd player didn't try to pop the cd like when you connect the juice so I turn the key nada.

I tested the power wires both red and yellow (constant and memory) with the key off I get nothing. with the key on they both work 12+ volts.

Any Guess's?? checked the radio fuse just to see, it was fine.

It is possible that a previous owner/installer had modified/damaged the wiring, and rigged it back up. I would trace the factory wires back, and make sure nothing is wrong.

PS. Seems you may have something else wrong too, even if they both only recieved power with the igntion, you should still get power and sound, it should just lose all of the presets, etc. when you turn the key off.

you have the constant power hooked up to the switched power, so when u turn he key on it gets power, you need to find the sire that gets +12 constantly and use that as your cnstant power

the constent wire in the factory harness is messed up so I used a signal from the fuse panel that is supposed to be for power locks. My car only has power windows no locks so Im all set their.

Find a different wire that provides constant power and try again.
