my wife has a 98 kia sephia with a sony head unit, lightning audio amp, and a pioneer 12" sub. Whenever i turn the head unit on or change stations/ skip tracks on a cd i get this really loud popping noise. It is getting really annoying. It also happens whenever the cd skips, which is happining more frequently now, i want to get a pioneer deck for her. anyways any help on this would be really nice. thanks.

Is it coming from just the sub or all the speakers?

This is troubleshooting, and cracking unkind jokes at others expense is not appreciated.
