I have an orion hcca 275g4 hooked up to an orion hcca 15d in parallel @ 1ohm, just got it put in sunday. Was bumping it yesterday (not too hard though, still breaking in the sub) when all of a sudden the music stops (no smoke or anything).

I get home, check all the connections, check the fuses, etc. The amp still has the power light on (exactly like it had before) but there's nothing coming from the sub at all. I'm borrowing my buddy's multimeter tonight or tomorrow to check to see if any power is coming from the amp, just wondering what some of the likely culprits are? I'm hoping the amp itself hasn't blown a transistor or something (didn't smell / see any smoke when it stopped though).

Change all your fuses regardless if they're blown or not. Then check the continuity of the fuses. You'll probably find that one was blown that looked good.

Replaced all the fuses, still no luck. Either my amp is shot or there's something wrong with the signal I guess, gonna simplify the setup (currently going through an external crossover between HU & the 275g4) and see if it still dosn't work. Here's hoping I can get it fixed, can only stand not having a sub for so long

Alright, just ran straight from the head unit to the amp (skipping the external crossover), and there's a turn on thump but still no sound.

check to see if the power wire is good, cuz i know alote of amps on light will turn on if the remnote is on but if there is no voltage geting to the amp, if not, make shure the ground is connected to a good ground spot. hope this helps, if not, post back.

Thanks, I think I may have found what it was. The 275g4 has two power supplys, so I unplugged both, turned it on. No power to it, so I plugged the right side in, no power, plugged them both in, kicked on. Took the right side out (left side in still), powers on still. I'm guessing something is wrong with the right side power wires, gonna fool with them after dinner. I'll update after I get done testing that all out

edit: the wiring for both of the plugs are fine, I swapped them and the right side still isn't turning on (even with the plug that was formerlly on the left side). I just changed all the fuses yesterday so they should be fine.

Have you gotten your amp to work yet. I've had an almost identical predicament with an XTR1400. Within the next day or two I am going to go ahead run dual 4 gauges all the way. Please Help!
