Hey Hey... I'm helping a friend of mine select a new amp for (2) 10"s he has in a truck box. The subs are 4ohms each, wired in paralell, so the amp will be presented with a single 2ohm load. (And this is what the DMM reads too) However, when hooking a 9volt up to the speaker wires for a second to check polarity, only one of the subs moved, the other never budged no matter how I hooked up the 9volt. Why is this? I assume the subs are both fine since I am reading a 2ohm load... Could the non-moving sub be bad?

put one lead on a termnal and the other on a bare spot on the back of the speaker with the meter. or try a diff batt
