This is the second amp I've installed. It's a Lanzar Vibe430 (250x4 I beleive). I want to run 2 MTX Thunder 4k's (12") off it. Right now I am just using channel 1 and 2 (Putting 250watts to each speaker) but the person I bought the amp from told me if I leave channels 3 and 4 open, without bridging the amp, I'm gonna kill it quick.
I didnt beleive him until a couple hours after I finished the install, the amp would keep cutting out. I would have to pull the fuse for channels 1 & 2, play around with it and eventually it would start working again. This last time, the amp cut out and I haven't beenable to get it working again. I can't think of any reason for this, except maybe a bad ground. Its grounded to the body of the truck right now (This is in an Extended Cab, Ford Ranger) and it mightnot have been bare enough.
Was my friend right about having to use all 4 channels? If so, can someone tell me how to bridge the channels real quick? I knew once, but I have forgot since then. Thanks

I've never heard that you need to leave chns. off so that the fuses won't blow, it could grounded wrong. Could have bad chns. 3 & 4. run one spk. of chns. 1 & 3 the other of 2 & 4
