i was wondering if any body had any tips on making my system louder outside of my jeep wagoneer on the inside it hits hard but outside even with the windows rolled down you can barely hear the bass i know since i only have 1 kicker 10" competion sub being pushed byu a majestic 650 amp its not going to hit very hard but it just seems real weak outside

And what's the problem?? You think people are impressed by a loud stereo outside the car? I certainly am not. I am more impressed when you can barely hear it but when you go up and open the door it knocks you down!

And that's the bottom line, cuz: LORD DUKK SAYS SO!
The Big Show The Dukk says: Know your bass: PORT your damn box!! Have HoleSaw, Will Travel!

I 100% agree with Dukk here... Thats noise pollution (awww who cares anymore) if you can hear it outside...
whats cool is that your vehicle is near perfectly deadened for sound!!!!
Have you seen that new volkswagen commercial where there is a guy in his new VW and it looks like he's talking. When the other guy opens the door, there is music plus the guy is singing (I don't know what he's singing)

Well, I guess that commercial Over Does it a bit... Unless the carpet/roof/door panels/etc is covered in MDF, with deadening materials out the wazoo...
nah, I doubt it... a cheap trick to con you from your money.

Never said Styx sucks!!! Just the Roboto Rock Opera, IMHO!!! Yeahh.. the commercial is just a bit overboard. Kinda cool car though. Funny thing about that whole deal is, the speaker in your TV sounds better than the best stock VW system....

If it dont fit, force it... if it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway...

Here is another VW question a friend asked me. And since y'all knew the Mr. Roboto song, I figured y'all might know this one. Does anybody know the name of the song (instrumental)being played in a new Jetta commercial? It is a black 4-door vehicle driving down a wet street. The woman just pops in a tape and the tunes roll out. Everything in the commercial moves to the beat.
Thanks

I have that commercial on my cpu, have viewed it many times, and have no idea where it was shot. The license plate on the car does not look familiar at all. Somebody give me a hint!!
Thanks

That Jetta commercial is set in New Orleans, Da Big Easy. I think the music was just made for the commercial. And having owned 2 Jettas in the past, the stock system (even with 8 speakers) sucks bad. Rip the whole thing out and start fresh!
You REALLY do not want it loud outside if you want to keep your stuff for long. Especially in a sport utillity. All they have to do is break the glass, grab your stuff, and run. A friend of mine had a Honda Passport with 2 12s and no alarm, wasnt long before it got broken into.

Unless you spend more time outside your vehicle than inside it, I don't know why you would worry about it. I'll echo the sentiments from the previous posts... it can piss off your neighbours (gives the whole car audio scene a bad rap) and is a sure fire "thief magnet". J.M.O.

nod to the previous posts... people tell me all the time that my system sounds pretty weak from outside my explorer, until they hop in the front seat. Anyone who builds a system just to get the attention and noise pollution violations, is in car audio for all the wrong reasons!

I remember the days that I wanted too shake the windows in peoples houses as I went down the street. now I live in a quiet neiborhood and don't like to turn it on ,even with the doors and windows closed. even with them closed ,the alarm on my girlfriends truck goes off, from 15' away!. in a way I'm proud, in a way I'm disappointed in my attempts to build up my interior. just venting.

KickerJeep, if you want it louder outside, add more woofers, keep in mind it will sound like crap inside. Will that be cash or the never never plan?

Add more subs and more power. Isn't it fun to rattle **** off of walls in people's houses as you drive by once in a while?
Dammit I want the music from that VW commercial. Those bastards need to release it to the public. I think it would kick some major ass on a real system, instead of those crappy stock VW systems.
