I have a pair of the 4 Ohm 12" XLC's and I am wondering if I could hook up my pair of 8 Ohm 12" XLC's to the same amp?

Diagram:

8Ohm--- -

8Ohm--- +

or something like this??????????

Seen this in the General Fourm too
So what you are doing is taking one 4 ohm and one 8ohm to make 12 ohms them parraling it to another 12 ohm load to get a total of 6 ohms.

-8+-4+

-8+-4+

[__6___]

I don't feel that it is worth it. your better bet might be to wire one 8 and one 4 paralle on each chanle giving you a 2.66 ohm load on each chanle.
try this

-8+ -8+

-4+ -4+

[2.6] [2.6]

As you may have seen in the thead marked hooking up 8 15's in the subs and enclosuer fourm sieries wiring is bad.
