Man it's been a while since I've posted...

Anyway, my friend just bought my XS1500.1 and so I installed it and everything for him. Everything was great, except for the fact that he had TOO much bass (we turned the gains all the way down and the bass all the way down, both were at under 1/2 up), so a couple of days later I installed another amp for him to drive his mids/highs. Well, after that was all said and done, he turned on his car and all of a sudden the XS1500.1 went into diagnostic mode!!! ACK! I was devistated...I couldn't think of what could be wrong, I mean, it was just working like 15 min ago! What the heck!

So I triple checked EVERYTHING, I checked the power wire to see if there was a short, none, the ground, nothing wrong, the RCA's, nothing wrong, the remote start, nothing wrong....ARG! I even disconnected the another amp that I put in and the XS1500.1 was STILL going into diagnostic mode! WTF!

WELL, we thought maybe it was the HU, so he went out and bought a much needed JVC El-Kameleon II deck (The one with 3 pre-amp outs and a line imput)...well, after I got that installed, the XS1500.1 was still in diagnostic mode! NOOOOO!!!

Sooooo, my question is, does anyone know what I could try to fix the problem? I'm thinking maybe the RCA inputs are messed up from the deck before...ack...I really don't know, I feel like I'm going to PUKE!

If anyone can help, please do!

Thanks for everything,
Chris

I would start by checking the impedance of the subs with a multimeter, then check to see if any of your wires are pinched in the run from the front of the car to the back.
Also check your voltage at the amp with the multimeter. Did you check the fuse under the hood?
