i'm having a problem that everytime that the bass hits my CD skips, its an Alpine 7864 i just put in like 2 weeks ago, is this normal gor these head units??

I really depends on the vehicle, the amount of bass, and how well it is fastened to the vehicle. I would suggest trying to stregthen the mount with backstap, etc and see if that takes care of the prob.

yeah, if you got alot of bass it will cause any head unit to skip. best thing is to just try and fasten the hell out of it.

i did fasten it as mush as i could, i even put rubber washers in between the car and the H/U mount, it helped a bit but it still skips
I have 2 orion XTR pro's running off a cadence a7+hc, but i didn't think that would make it skip
