I got a error on the changer, I can take out and put in the CD's but it wont play it just gives a error. It did it while the truck was going down a really bumpy road and all of a sudden the changer stoped working and gave the error. How can I fix this?

something w/the suspension in the unit could have came loose. I saw this happen on an Alpine cha-605 about a year ago.

I know you already tried this...but did you try the "reset" button on the headunit?...that might help. I'll ask some of the guys at the shop and see what they say.

I dont know how old this is, but as long as the guaranty is out (probably 1 yaer) then i thik you should lay it on your kitchen table, and open it up... my best gues is that it needs a good claening an that thid "dump" youst was the thing that made it stopp...... if not, try to see where it stops doing what it should....

PS: if you havent tried it, ALWAYS when you have a problem try puling out all the wires, often when it is reset in this way, it goes back to the original state.

good luck

I actually tried that last week, I turned the radio off, unplugged the changer and turned the radio on and off then plugged it back in and it was back to normal. Thanks everyone for your help.
