I bought a Pioneer DEH-P2000 in the summer of '99, and about 6 months later, I ejected a CD and when I tried to put another one in, it wouldn't take it, it was like something was blocking it. It stayed like that for a couple of days, and then started working fine. It has been doing that for the past year or so. It's fine for about a week and then it does that for a few days. If I disconnect the battery, and reconnect it, it works fine for the first CD, then it won't take anymore. I have no idea why it would do this, so I was wondering if anyone here has come across this problem. I planning on getting rid of the car with the CD player in March, so I don't want to buy a whole new CD player. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a recipet, warenty? if so, and it isn't over yet thats your best bet. I have a pioneer DEH3100 and i love it. Nothing wrong with mine. Also, one of my freinds looked at my player and says "oh you should replace that, scratches your CD's". And i says, if anything scratches my CDs its probably throwin them in the ashtray(which doesn't)(as of yet)(hehe)(i have a burner). That was a little off the topic but its just about how i got no problems with mine.

Definitely a bad deck. Just an in general question why in the name of bakin' bacon does pioneer put freakin resistors on the power wires on their decks. You'd think if anything that would hurt the performance. I always cut them off.
------------------ If it says "watts" on the heatsink DON'T BUY IT!!
