Anyone with an older cougar should be able to help me out. My original power and ground wires crapped out, so i went to an autoparts store, got new ones (THEIR computer said they were right). well. I get my car up and all the wires taken out and i realize that they sold me a 1'6"(or so) ground wire, when my car has like a 3'+ wire. i ended up using the short wire in a different location which isn't working well. this was a while ago, so i no longer have the original wires. Anyone know The exact length so i don't have this problem again?
2nd question:
My amp is in the back of the trunk, and i have about 3' of ground available. Right now the ground is connected to some bolt that looks like it holds the break lights in.(i was told this was ok) it does ground, BUT not as well as i would like. i need to know of good grounding spot near the back of the trunk..
thx.

hmm, what better person to "try" to answer your question . For those that don't know, I have a cougar also. ok, first question, the ground cable on the battery, whoever sold you the 1' cable should be beaten. The cable is about 3' or so, maybe more or less, can't remember exactly. On the ground situation, the bolt your using now is a very poor ground. either drill a new hole in the floor on the metal somewhere, or, use an existing bolt somewhere. I used one of the bolts that was holding on a big metal plate behind the back seat. That worked good, but, I went ahead and drilled a hole for a self taping screw, "very large screw" and used that as my ground.

help a brotha out!.
and new problem =)

i recently purchased a couple audiobahn 12s.
dual 6ohm coils all wired in parallel (soldered) for a 1.5ohm load on my amp (orion225hcca).
got it all hooked up. (mind you my previous setup was working fine that same day).
well... it worked for about 3seconds, then nothing. now neither my amp, nor line driver turn on. all of the fuses are in tact and the wiring seems fine.. anyone have any clue?
