I have static coming from my stock speakers. My head unit and the stock amp are still in it. I have added another amp pushing one 12". there is static whether i am listening to the radio or CD. Its really getting on my nerves. What causes this. It doesnt change with engine speed. It sounds like a bad reception even with a CD.

do you have any signal lines running next to power lines?
are all of your wires connected good?
do you have a good ground?
