Happy New Year to all. My problem seems to be very ongoing. All my equipment is brand new, Clarion 9675 head, AC four.1, AC 4XS, Soundstream 1002 and 604. My problem is engine noise entering the system. It seems to worsin as more load is put on the alternator(climate, headlights etc.) All my components, including the head unit are grounded in the trunk, with the stock battery, which is where it is located. All RCAs are scosche efx. Can this be from a poor charging system? a weak battery? the alt seems to be working fine. The car is a 91 Alfa 164, the alt is 115amps. if anyone has any suggestions or advice it will be greatly appreciated.

Just out of curiosity is this a rear engine car or did you relocate the battery to the trunk? --If you've relocated the battery to the trunk this is a sure-fire way to introduce noise into the system.
Next you said that all of the components are grounded together, are all the grounds connected to the negative battery post? --Again sure-fire way to introduce noise into a system.
There are several easy steps in finding the cause of engine noise but first I would like to explore your wiring techniques to make sure everything is on the up and up...

The battery in my car is located in the trunk which is the stock location. It is a front engine sedan. All my components are grounded to the same ground point as the battery since they r all near each other in the trunk.
