I bought a Crossfire 404S amp from a guy on the net. Problem is... the post office managed to throw it around during shipping and mess it up some (broke the fuse holder, etc...). So when I hook it up, the left rear output does not seem to work. I took it to my friend and he checked the mosfets and he said they were fine. So im thinking there must be something wrong with the rca connection or maybe the positive lead??? The rear channel works bridged. Umm if anyone has any ideas of how I can check it (without sending it back to Crossfire) or fix it I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance...
-Richard

BTW I also heard that the 404S is severely underpowered and that it only does like 35-40RMS.... is this true?

Check the coneection between the RCA input and the board, check any connections between the speaker terminal and the board, and check any gain control potentiometers. Look for any broken solder joints, and make sure the copper traces haven't pulled up anywhere.
I doubt it is the gain control pot or speaker connection, but the RCA connector is a pretty good bet. If you can't find anything let me know here or by email and I will try to help you out as much as possible.
