Well, I have had my current system for almost 2 years now, I have always had a bit of engine noise in it that I could never get rid of, but I have learned to live with it. But the other day I up on a test tone (which I have never done before) and when I turned the volume knob either up or down there was a poping noise in my speaker whith each click of the knob. It seems to come only on heavy bass tracks. My first thought was that it is not crossed-over high enough, but I have the singal sent through my EQX as a high pass and the speakers where part of a component set and go though that crossover too. So any ideas what it could be?

Thanks
