Well this one was a first for me. I installed a JVC KD-SX750 into a customer's 2000 Honda Accord coupe and wouldn't you know it I had alternator whine out of the radio. No external amplification to the factory speakers just head unit power. The car does have an MTX Thunder 2150 hooked up and it is pushing a pair if MB Quart 12's in the back. I used a metra harness to wire into the car so figuring that the factory ground might be weak I bypassed it in the factory harness and ran my own but that still only lessened it and not eliminated it. She really wanted the 750 and we didn't have another one in stock so I told her that we would have to replace the HU on Monday when we can get her a new unit. Anyone else ever experience this? If so what caused it? What fixed it? Thanks in advance.
