Ok I'll start off with what I have Head unit I have a Premier DEX-P1r, from there the signal goes to two Crossfire amps CFA-402 on two MBquart Coaxes with supposibly 100 watts on each one and the subs are JL 10w1's 2 of them I might add ran by a Crossfire CFA-404, bridged mono.well the mids I figured would move alot more than they do I even set the HP to 50hz@18db, and still didn't move the way they should, or the way I would think they would, I am able to switch my subs off with the P1r, and there is little or no bass with the Mids at 50hz, I also have Foam baffles behind them, and was wondering if this would possibly add coloration to the music, I have heard DEFLEX pads work great without the baffles it seems I am losing alot of sound behind the door, so I really don't know what to do, I have ample power 100x2,should I look into buying deflex pads or purchase a componet set? sorry if this is long but I wanted to be specific, thanks for the replies.

component sets are definately the way to go. I recently heard a car with Focal components.... and it sounded like it had a pair of 8s in the back. It had modest power..75 watts to each component. I have components up front, and coaxials in the rear. When I fade it, you could definately hear where the coaxials crap out, and the components soar. Both made by JL audio, both 6 1/2 and both are the top of the line xr series. For the most part, a crappy set of component sets will sound better than very expensive coaxials. The ideal thing to do is to put 6 1/2 in kickpanels, and 8's in the door..... but we arent all rich!
