I have a '91 chevy corsica and I cannot figure how to run my power line. I was going to run it along the driver's side, but I don't know whether or not I should. I would like to get it up to the battery without drilling through the fire wall. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. thankx!

i dunno how close this would be but my friend and i installed a system in a chevy cavalier.. there was a small grommet in the firewall, then above that, there was a small foam-rubber gasket with a hole in it, we ran the power wire through that, but it'll only work for 4 ga. or smaller.. the hole went directly into the engine compartment under his engine coolant tank, just shine a flashlight in there, you should see it.. if not, i dunno what to tell ya

What you could try (which can be dangerous if not set up correctly) is dropping the power line down and wiring it through the drivers side hole. Im not sure if yours has one but some cars are equipped with drain holes underneath the carpet. If you do have this hole and do decide to use it, make sure you tack the wire to the car underside, just in case you strip it somehow. But the surefire way(and safest)is to go is through the firewall. See if you can follow the wires from your engine into the car. Pull up your carpet on the drivers and passenger side of the car and you should have some kind of way through. You might have to cut grommets and phish the line through with a coathanger. Good luck!

you could drill up through the floor, but be careful not to drill through your carpet, or run it under the car and drill through the trunk, but that could cause moisture to get into the trunk and cause water damage.

there should be a grommet. most, if not all, cars have one thats unused or not packed full yet. dig around w/ a flashlight and look behind obstructions.
